In early April 2020, a fascinating discovery related to Bletchley Park was released to the public. The discovery? An 11-minute silent film features staff members of the MI6 Section VIII - the British spy agency's communications staff, at a site linked to Bletchley Park during World War II.
An article by Johnny Diaz for the New York Times, published 6 April, reports...."The video, believed to be a compilation of footage recorded between 1939 and 1945, was filmed at Whaddon Hall in Buckinghamshire, England, the secret site where intelligence produced by the code-breakers would be sent and then shared with Allied commanders in the field, according to Bletchley Park. The facility, now a heritage site and museum, released and published some of the footage online on Friday."
