Maryland History Day

Each year the NCF sponsors special awards at the Maryland History Day competition. Junior and Senior division students receive awards and have the opportunity to display their work at the NCM. 

 

  • In 2014, the NCF (then NCMF) began presenting the Morrison Award to Junior and Senior level Maryland students to celebrate science and technology. The awards are presented at the annual Maryland History Day contest. Learn more about this award, as well as the most recent and previous years' winners.

  • In 2018, the Eugene J. Becker Award for Excellence in Cybersecurity and Cryptology was established as a result of donations made in Gene Becker's honor. As with the other special NCF awards, the award will be presented to a junior and high school level student at the Maryland History Day contest.

  • Each year the NCF presents Junior and Senior level students with the Zaslow Award at the Maryland History Day contest as a way to encourage and recognize today's brightest young minds. Learn about this special award, as well as the most recent and previous years' winners.
