Dr. Loyce Pailen
Dr. Loyce Pailen
Dr. Pailen is experienced in IT, having worked in cybersecurity, software development, project management, telecommunications, risk management, and network security and administration. She holds the ISC2-CISSP certification. Dr. Pailen teaches cybersecurity and is a CompTIA Certified Classroom Trainer. She is the Sr. Director for the Center for Security Studies at UMGC, overseeing the University’s NCAE-CD designation and grants. She held IT positions at the Washington Post, UMGC, and DCITA.
Dr. Pailen has provided leadership as an Associate Provost for Instructional Design. She has also developed graduate, undergraduate, community college, and non-credit cybersecurity curriculum. Dr. Pailen is the author of an enlightening series of children’s books regarding cybersecurity.
Dr. Pailen serves on the board of the TWG of FISSEA and co-chair on the MCCE Maryland Cyber Committee. She recently joined he National Visiting Committee for the National CyberWatch Center. She is a Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Chapter member at UMGC.
