NCF Ambassador Program - Summer 2024 Update

In the 2023-24 school year, the NCF Education Program launched its first-ever student Ambassador Program. Conceptualized as a new way to integrate the NCF’s Outsmart Cyberthreats booklets into schools, the Ambassador Program partners with a school-based sponsor who guides students through the booklet as they complete tasks, activities, and culminating projects to demonstrate their mastery of foundational cyber safety skills and concepts. Upon completing the 4-6 week program, students are inducted as an Ambassador through a recognition ceremony led by their school sponsor and the NCF.

In the 2023-24 school year:

"The partnership with the National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) has significantly benefited the students of St. Mary of the Mills School by enhancing their understanding of cyber and internet safety. Through NCF digital resources and interactive activities, students have gained valuable knowledge about secure online practices and the importance of safeguarding personal information. The curriculum provided by NCF has also empowered educators and parents to effectively teach digital citizenship, ensuring that students are well-equipped to navigate the complex digital landscape responsibly. This collaboration has not only improved students' technical skills but also instilled a sense of vigilance and ethical behavior in their online interactions." ~ Mr. Derrick Harrell, STEAM instructor at St. Mary of the Mills

The NCF plans to expand to other U.S. states, ensuring that students across the country know how to keep their personal and important information safe online.
