The National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) proudly participated in the 11th Annual Maryland STEM Festival Opening Ceremony, held on October 16, 2025, at Capitol Technology University in Laurel, Maryland. The event marked the official kickoff of the statewide celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — a month-long initiative designed to inspire and engage students, educators, and families across Maryland.
The Opening Ceremony, held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, featured interactive STEM activities, hands-on demonstrations, and innovative showcases highlighting Maryland’s leadership in STEM education and workforce development. Attendees also enjoyed refreshments, including pizza, drinks, and dessert, as they explored exhibits from organizations dedicated to advancing STEM learning opportunities.
Representing the Foundation, Mrs. Christine Harding and Dr. Alisha Jordan hosted an NCF education table, where they shared the Foundation’s growing portfolio of K–12 cyber education resources — including the Outsmart Cyberthreats (OC) booklet, Escape Room in a Box, and the Student Ambassador Program. Visitors learned how the NCF’s programs connect cybersecurity, cryptology, and STEM learning to real-world skills and workforce readiness.
The Maryland STEM Festival continues to be a vital platform for collaboration, bringing together educators, industry partners, and community leaders who share a passion for cultivating curiosity and preparing students for future innovation. The NCF’s participation underscores its ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation of STEM and cybersecurity leaders.
