They've kept their secrets for 50 years or more. Laura Nelson, Kathy Jackson, and Eileen Buckholtz, three Queens of Code who lived in Maryland during their careers, share their stories about the National Security Agency's computing women, as well as tips for students considering a STEM career.

Join in virtually on January 20, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom for a program presented by the Queens of Code in partnership with the Maryland Women's Heritage Center.

  • 19 April 1862: Confederate Signal Corps was established. The Confederate Signal Corps accomplished tactical and strategic communications for the warring armies, including electromagnetic telegraphy and aerial telegraphy ("wig-wag" signaling).
