Charles Eric Moose, 87, a U.S. Civil Service lithographer, died on July 9, 2015 at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD. A native Washingtonian, he was one of the founders of the Sportsmen Club, a group of Eastern High School graduates who, along with their wives -The Sportsettes -played cards, planned dances, and took boat rides on the Chesapeake. By the early 1960s, he had moved his growing family to Silver Spring where he was an enthusiastic CYO football coach, horseshoe pitcher, and Sunday morning breakfast maker. He moved to Riderwood Village in 2002.

Mr. Moose, who retired in 1985, worked for several federal agencies during his long tenure with the government, including many years at Ft. George Meade (now the home of the National Security Agency). One of his favorite pastimes following retirement was to take family and friends to the National Cryptologic Museum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Cryptologic Museum Foundation – or online at www.cryptologicfoundation.org.
