Departed Colleagues

The NCF Remembers Long-Standing Foundation Member Edward L. Craig. His obituary is provided below.

On April 3, 2024, Edward L. Craig passed peacefully into eternal life. Ed is predeceased by his beloved parents, Edward C. Craig and Eleanor E. Craig (nee Arnick). He is survived by his devoted sister Maureen C. Matteo and her husband Dennis, his cherished nieces Sera N. Matteo-Boring and her husband Erik, Giullia E. Matteo, and his nephew Andrew J. Matteo. Also surviving are five great nephews, two great nieces and many cherished friends and neighbors in Maryland and Hawaii.

Ed was a proud Marylander and enjoyed Maryland and Baltimore history. He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan and served in the Maryland National Guard.  He had a strong religious faith and was devoted to his family and the community. He worked at the Agency and was a long-time member of the Phoenix Society (and National Cryptologic Foundation.)

Ed was an extremely proud graduate of Loyola High School, Blakefield and Loyola College.
