Non-NCF Program Details

The NCMF was fortunate to have a table at the AFIO's 2015 Spring Luncheon on 8 May in Tyson's Corner, VA. The theme of the program was Hackers, Financial Safety, Bulk Data Collection, ISIS Recruitments, Snowden and more. See a quick 5-minute preview tour of the AFIO luncheon.

The Oregonian investigative reporter and Pulitzer Prize finalist Bryan Denson spoke in the morning about his research for "The Spy’s Son: The True Story of the Highest-Ranking CIA Officer Ever Convicted of Espionage and the Son He Trained to Spy for Russia," the riveting story of the Nicholsons—father and son co-conspirators who deceived their country by selling national secrets to Russia. This presentation was recorded and can be viewed on YouTube.

In the afternoon, John "Chris" Inglis, NSA's former Deputy Director and highest ranking civilian officer, gave an off the record presentation about NSA's response to the demands for changes in their electronic surveillance programs, online security, and the needs of the nation.

The NCMF enjoyed having a table at the event and interacting with luncheon participants about the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM) and the Foundation's upcoming programs - i.e. 20 May program featuring Alan Turing author, Dr. Andrew Hodges. We also sold promotional items related to the NCM. A successful day and we thank the AFIO for having us!
