Special Museum Event featuring Dr. Merryl Goldberg
The National Cryptologic Museum will host a special event on 4 April 2024 featuring Professor Dr. Merryl Goldberg who will speak about her unique experiences with American cryptology and her battle of wits with the KGB.
In 1985, using the disguise of a traveling musician with the Boston Klezmer Conservatory Band, Dr. Goldberg successfully smuggled coded information using hand-notated sheet music to aid those seeking to escape the Soviet Union. During the discussion, Dr. Goldberg will play her cryptographic tunes in a live demonstration.
