In honor of Women's History Month, we will conduct a #CyberChat on 11 March at 12noon EST with Ms. Barbara McNamara, only the second woman to serve as a former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency. Ms. McNamara will share how she navigated her career from starting as a Chinese linguist to reaching the highest civilian position. She’ll talk about the role information security plays in protecting our national security, the need for more cyber professionals, and the doors she opened for other women in technology. Click the link below to watch a short teaser video about the Chat.

Barbara McNamara began her career as a Chinese Linguist and served in several analytic, operational, and managerial positions at the National Security Agency (NSA). In 2000, she became the first woman to hold the position of Senior United States Liaison Officer to London.
