Christine Harding at NCM STEM Event

NCF Marketing & Communications Director Christine Harding talks cryptology with young Museum visitors during the November 2024 STEM Fest Day at the NCM.

The NCF team had a GREAT time at the National Cryptologic Museum's (NCM) STEM Fest event, "Engineering Ideas Into Reality," held on 9 November 2024. See more photos from the event below.

CyberChats Podcast Host Kennedy Taylor and Cyber Pulse Podcast Host James Walsh had their own table focused on educating parents about the NCF’s mission and encouraging children to take an interest in cybersecurity through a password activity. The activity empowered children to test their password knowledge through Security.org’s “How Secure is My Password?” tool and learn secure password etiquette from James and Kennedy along the way. The activity proved to be a huge hit with many returning students!

The team also took the opportunity to share information about the next Cyber Saturday event - scheduled for 18 January 2025, providing guests with flyers and a bit of insight into the many cyber activities that will take place at the event. We heard many “I want to go” comments from excited students and “you’re going” comments from eager parents.

A few teachers in attendance expressed an interest in our Student Ambassador Program. NCF Communications & Marketing Director Christine Harding's business card was given out several times for follow-up!

All totaled - 911 participants attended the event. Many thanks to all who participated. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
