(Glen Burnie, MD – January 30, 2025) The National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) has appointed Ms. Cyndi Gula and Mr. Jamil N. Jaffer to its Board of Directors. Both will serve three-year terms beginning January 1, 2025.

Cyndi Gula is a Managing Partner at Gula Tech Adventures (GTA), focusing on cyber technology, policy, and workforce development. Since 2017, GTA has invested in cyber start-ups and supported various non-profits. Cyndi has significant experience in operations, having scaled companies like Tenable Network Security and Network Security Wizards. She also serves on the boards of the Howard County Conservancy and Howard County General Hospital. Cyndi holds a B.S. in Glass Engineering from Alfred University.

Jamil Jaffer is the Founder and Executive Director of the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School, where he also teaches national security law and policy. He is also a Venture Partner at Paladin Capital Group and serves on multiple advisory boards and boards of directors, including RangeForce and U.S. Strategic Metals. Previously, Jamil helped grow IronNet Cybersecurity from an early-stage startup to an NYSE listing and has held senior roles in the White House, Justice Department, House Intelligence Committee, and Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Jamil is a graduate of UCLA, the U.S. Naval War College, and the University of Chicago Law School.
