National Cryptologic Museum Foundation Receives $1,000,000 Donation from FedData Holdings

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Millersville, MD (January 5, 2021) – The National Cryptologic Museum Foundation (NCMF), a leader in educating the public on the importance of cryptology, is extraordinarily pleased to announce a charitable donation of $1,000,000 from FedData Holdings to support the NCMF’s Capital Campaign to construct the Cyber Center for Education and Innovation (CCEI) and the new home of the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM), and celebrate the contributions to the country by the men and women of the National Security Agency, Cryptologic Services, and their predecessor organizations.

The CCEI will become a cross-sector enterprise, delivering programs to encourage government, industry, and academia to share insights, knowledge, and resources to strengthen cybersecurity protection and workforce development. In addition to being the new home of the world-class NCM, this state-of-the-art facility (to be built behind the current museum) will include a research and rare books library, a conference center, and will feature the return of Vigilance Park. “We are extraordinarily grateful to FedData Holdings for this generous contribution”, said Laura Nelson, CEO, and President of NCMF.

FedData’s contribution reflects its long history of continued support to the Intelligence Community, particularly to advance the mission of the National Security Agency. The company’s emphasis is on the delivery of advanced IT product solutions based on leading-edge technology, as well as providing high-end analytical services in support of intelligence operations, and consultancy in the area of high-performance computing.

In conjunction with this donation, Rick and Vicky Hardy have made an additional $100,000 contribution. Mr. Hardy, a founder of FedData, currently serves on its Board of Directors and as its Executive Vice President for Sales. Mrs. Hardy is an executive with the government.

About the National Cryptologic Museum Foundation

The NCMF directly supports the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM), the first public museum in the U.S. Intelligence Community. Located adjacent to the National Security Agency (NSA) in Maryland, the NCM houses a priceless collection of artifacts that represent our Nation's history in code-making and code-breaking, as well as a world-class library of cryptologic media. The NCMF acquires the best artifacts for the NCM and supports new educational and interactive exhibits. The NCMF provides exceptional cryptologic programs throughout the year, encourages young minds to explore cryptology and innovation through valued awards, and hosts educational, cryptology-related exhibits at various community events.

As part of the Foundation's public-partnership with NSA to build the Cyber Center for Education and Innovation - Home of the National Cryptologic Museum (CCEI-NCM), the NCMF serves as a leader in the field of cybersecurity - striving to provide the best in educational resources and programs, including the development of the High School Cybersecurity Curriculum Guidelines, hosting #CyberChats, and providing virtual museum tours with its telepresence robot, Friedman.
