Dr. Lawrence "Larry" E. Shinn, was with NSA and its predecessor organization since 1948. He died December 11, 1969 at the age of 58.
Dr. Shinn was a cryptologist who attended the National War College in 1957, and served for several years as NSA representative on interdepartmental committees.
He held a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and a Doctorate in Bacteriology from the University of Pittsburg.
