Dean Robert Spray, 82, of Tryon, North Carolina, died on March 11, 2014.
Dean was employed at NSA in Fort Meade, Maryland for 37 years and retired in 1987. He was a member of NARFE and The Phoenix Society and a great fan of the National Cryptologic Museum at NSA.
After his retirement, Dean enjoyed his life on Maryland's Eastern Shore, traveled the globe with his wife, Martha, shared vacations with family and friends at their house in Turkey on the Mediterranean Coast, donated his time preparing tax returns for AARP, and relaxed while honing his skills at crosswords and Sudoku. He had friends all over the world. Dean was surrounded by his family at his death, as he always was during his life. He is survived by Martha, five daughters, four grandchildren, a great grandchild (the apple of his eye), a brother and a sister.
