  • While the Museum remains closed due to Covid-19, there are opportunities to take virtual tours and attend other virtual Museum programs and activities.   • The National Cryptologic Museum is always featuring new and exciting exhibits, and finding ways to update and enhance existing exhibits. From Revolutionary Secrets to the Magic Planet, to the upgraded Enigma and Code Talker exhibits, and more. Here we feature some of the most recent exhibits and displays.

  • Information Assurance (IA) is defined by Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8500.01E as "measures that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation." When you visit the NCM you will see examples of many of the techniques used for IA, starting with "paper and pencil." Examples of equipment used dating back to President Thomas Jefferson can be previewed here.
