Tribute to a very special NCMF friend.

A very special tribute to Lt Gen Linc D. Faurer, former Chairman of the NCMF Board of Directors, took place during the October 2015 meeting.

Gen Faurer served as NSA Director & CSS Chief from 1981-85. He received numerous honors throughout his career, and although he retired in 1985 after 35 years of USAF service, his contributions didn’t end there. He consulted on national security issues and served on the boards of several organizations, including the NCMF’s. “Linc” was a great friend and supporter of the NCM/NCMF, and he is deeply missed.

The NCMF has collected over $8,000 toward a Maryland student “Cyber Innovation” scholarship in Linc’s honor. If you’d like to contribute, visit the In Memoriam Registry and make a donation in Linc's name today.

During the program, the lobby area featured book sales, cryptologic displays, guest tables, and the NCMF held a silent auction fundraiser of rare items. In fact, this year was one of the Foundation's most successful in terms of the silent auction and book sales.

We had great attendance for this 2015 program and members enjoyed the breaks for discussion, as well as time to interact during breakfast and lunch. The caterered lunch was fantastic, and the lobby area offered something of interest for everyone.
