Event Recap
On Sunday June 7th, 2026, National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) Education Director Dr. Alisha Jordan and Mr. Darnell Washington had the honor of participating in the Chinese American Parent Association of Montgomery County’s Student Ambassador Program Closing Ceremony, celebrating students who successfully completed the NCF’s Student Ambassador Program.
First, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Chinese American Parent Association of Montgomery County for its commitment to supporting students and families and for embracing the importance of cybersecurity education.
A very special thank you goes to Ms. Vivian Wu for opening the door for this partnership and for providing the opportunity for the NCF to bring the Cybersecurity Data Care Student Ambassador Program to her students. We are especially grateful for her vision in allowing us to implement a new High School Trainer Program, where high school students serve as mentors and leaders for our middle school Ambassadors. This initiative reflects one of the core pillars of our Ambassador Program—Leadership and Heritage Preservation.
During the ceremony, Dr. Jordan delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the NCF’s commitment to preparing young minds to become informed, empowered, and responsible digital citizens. She highlighted the four pillars of the Student Ambassador Program: Cyber Literacy Empowerment, Workforce Development Excellence, Collaborative Innovation, and Leadership and Heritage Preservation. Through these pillars, students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to protect themselves online, explore future cyber career pathways, and become leaders who serve their communities.
Mr. Darnell Washington delivered a powerful and engaging message on cybersecurity, cyber careers, and the growing opportunities available in the cyber workforce, inspiring students to envision themselves as the next generation of innovators and cybersecurity professionals.
This celebration represented much more than the completion of a program; it celebrated leadership, responsibility, and service. It also reflected the power of partnership and collaborative innovation between the NCF and the Chinese American Parent Association of Montgomery County. Our Ambassadors are committing themselves not only to practicing safe cyber habits, but also to serving as role models and leaders within their schools and communities.
We are incredibly proud of these Student Ambassadors and look forward to seeing how they continue to make a positive impact and help create a safer and more secure digital world for everyone.
Thank you again to the Chinese American Parent Association of Montgomery County and Ms. Vivian Wu for her partnership and shared commitment to preparing the next generation of cyber-aware leaders.
