Event Recap
On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, a special ceremony took place at Robert Frost Middle School in Rockville, MD where 52 students were officially inducted into the NCF Ambassador Program. NCF Director of Education Dr. Alisha Jordan was in attendance and personally pinned each student, presenting them with a certificate of completion and an NCF Ambassador T-shirt.
The ceremony began with a brief introduction to NCF and its mission, followed by a discussion on the significance of the Ambassador Program. Dr. Jordan highlighted the invaluable work of Mr. Daniel Rose, the teacher who ensured that all students became cyber smart.
The students were visibly thrilled, and Mr. Rose expressed his excitement about his students’ participation in the program and our visit to the school for the presentation. It was truly an awesome event that celebrated the achievements and dedication of these young ambassadors.

Later during spring 2024, Sr. Training Advisor Darnell Washington spent the day in Rockville, Maryland with Robert Frost Middle School students discussing career fields in Cybersecurity and Cryptography.
“After showing and demonstrating the consequences of using weak passwords and sharing personal information online, the students were very well motivated to practice safer online behaviors,” said Mr. Washington. He added that they also learned how to spot and report suspicious activity on computers and mobile devices.
Robert Frost educator Daniel Rose, stated that the students had much fun learning and asking questions, especially about Mr. Washington’s first activities in cybersecurity. He thanked the National Cryptologic Foundation for sharing stories and “answering student and staff questions, and engaging our students in such rich conversation.”
