Jennifer Marden is a trainer and research scientist with the RING (Regions Investing in the Next Generation) Cybersecurity and AI curriculum team at the Center for Cybersecurity Research and Education at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. She delivers cybersecurity and AI training for K–12 educators and engages stakeholders through curriculum demonstrations. A former Loudoun County, VA Public Schools teacher, she taught cybersecurity, programming, and business courses for 13 years and holds a Virginia teaching license with endorsements in Business and Marketing Education.
Jennifer also has 17 years of IT experience as a systems engineer, consultant, and director in the U.S. and abroad. She earned her MBA from Liberty University and a BA in Business Administration from Mary Baldwin University. She also served as an adjunct professor at American University.
An active leader in cybersecurity education, Jennifer co-directs the Virginia CyberSlam conference and serves on the Virginia Cyber Range Executive Board. She received the 2022 Virginia Cybersecurity Educator Award.
