Event Recap
In partnership with the Maryland STEM Festival, the National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) hosted an exciting and impactful Cyber Feud competition on 16 April 2026 at Loyola Blakefield High School in Towson, MD —bringing cybersecurity concepts to life through energy, teamwork, and friendly competition.
Student teams from across the region came together to test their knowledge in a fast-paced, game-show style format that challenged their understanding of cybersecurity, digital safety, and critical thinking. The room was filled with enthusiasm, collaboration, and moments that showed just how powerful engaging learning experiences can be.
Congratulations to our Top Teams:
- 1st Place (Tie): Crofton High School & Calvert Technical High School
- 2nd Place: Loyola Blakefield
Hosted at Loyola Blakefield, the event created a dynamic environment where students not only competed, but also deepened their awareness of real-world cyber concepts aligned to STEM learning and the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.
A special thank you to our incredible hosts—Nathan Gruden, Kennedy Taylor Tibbetts, and Darnell Washington—for bringing energy, expertise, and engagement to every round of the game. The excitement in the room was undeniable.

Overview
Cyber Feud is a cyber initiative between the National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) and the Maryland STEM Festival. The event features a fun & challenging educational competition between students from Maryland schools, as well as cyber professionals who help to endorse the competition and stimulate more interest in science and technology careers, especially in the cyber field.
