About the Collection
The Outsmart Cyberthreats Collection gives students the skills to protect themselves in today’s connected world. Created by the National Cryptologic Foundation with education and industry partners, this ready-to-use resource uses real-life examples and hands-on activities to teach “Data Care”—the practical habits and security principles that keep personal information safe. No technical background is required, making it easy for any educator to bring cyber safety into the classroom, after-school program, or camp.
Across four engaging modules, students learn how companies and criminals use data, spot and avoid online threats, manage digital risks, and explore careers in the fast-growing field of cybersecurity. With relatable scenarios, interactive exercises, and clear takeaways, the Outsmart Cyberthreats Collection turns online safety from an abstract idea into skills students can use immediately—while sparking interest in future opportunities.
