Marcia Sexton Axtell, 77, beloved wife of Ned Axtell of Cape Coral, passed away on December 8, 2001. She is survived by her children, Sharon Bentley of Cape Coral, John David Axtell of Meniffe, CA, and Daniel Lee Axtell of Ocoee, FL, four grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister, Joyce Traum of Alburquerque, New Mexico.
Marcia was born in Harrodsburg, KY and later moved to Washington, D.C. when employed by the National Security Agency. She retired from that Agency in 1973 and became a Cape Coral Resident in 1975. She was a Member of Club ’68 and Club ’76. She also volunteered at the Cape Coral Hospital for 9 years.
A Private Family Service of Remembrance will be held, however a gathering of friends and relatives will be held on Monday, December 10, 2001 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on the second floor lanai of Rivers Condo II. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy., East, Cape Coral, FL 33909.
