John J. Mollick, 68, a retired National Security Agency senior intelligence analyst, China expert, and award-winning poet and author, died on Monday evening, July 17, 2006 in his Fayetteville, PA home.
A recipient of the NSA’s Meritorious Service Award, Mr. Mollick served with NSA for 39 years until 1994. He was a former resident of Bowie, MD, until retiring in Fayetteville. John was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include: his wife, Arlene Mollick; children, Theresa Hunter of South Carolina; Catherine Mollick of Annapolis, MD; Michele (and husband Glenn) Towle of Bowie, MD; Donna Irwin of Raleigh, NC; and David (and wife Denise) Irwin of Martinsburg, WV; and two grandchildren, Megan and Samuel Irwin. Four sisters also survive.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2006 in the chapel of the THOMAS L. GEISEL FUNERAL HOME, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Friends were invited to visit at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
