NSA/CSS Cryptologic Hall of Honor

Honoring those whose exceptional contributions to cryptology have strengthened the security of the United States.

About the NSA/CSS Cryptologic Hall of Honor

The NSA/CSS Cryptologic Hall of Honor recognizes individuals whose work in making and breaking codes has had a lasting impact on national security. Established in 1998 and exhibited at the National Cryptologic Museum, the Hall pays tribute to Americans and others who have given especially distinguished service in cryptology and related fields. Inductees include military and civilian pioneers whose intellect, innovation, and dedication have shaped the course of history—often without public recognition.

The National Cryptologic Foundation plays a key role in this effort, nominating candidates through the NSA’s Center for Cryptologic History. With decades of experience and deep knowledge of the people and events that have defined the field, the Foundation ensures that the remarkable achievements of these cryptologic trailblazers are preserved and celebrated.
