Robin Burns has been an educator for 18 years and currently teaches Cybersecurity and Networking at Calvert Career and Technology Academy (CTA) in Prince Frederick, Maryland, where she also serves as a Lead Advisor for SkillsUSA. Prior to joining CTA, she spent six years building a Cybersecurity CTE pathway in Charles County.
Robin earned a B.S. in Physical Education from Salisbury University, an M.Ed. in Special Education and Administration from Wilmington University, and graduate certificates in Cybersecurity Technology from UMGC and Cybersecurity Education from DePaul University. In 2025, she earned an M.S. in Cybersecurity Technology from UMGC.
Robin was named the 2025 NCF Outstanding Educator and Maryland CTE Teacher of the Year and Washington Post Teacher of the Year finalist in 2026. She has presented at many local, state, and national Conferences.
