Event Recap
On Friday, 6 June 2014, Eagle Alliance sponsored its 13th Annual Tim Sheahan Memorial Crypto Cup Golf Tournament to benefit the National Cryptologic Museum Foundation, Inc. It was a gorgeous, sunny day with temperatures in the upper 70s. 120 players gathered at the Patuxent Greens Golf Course in Laurel, MD to enjoy a day of fun and friendly competition. Volunteers checked in players and made sure everyone received their goodie bags, as well as manned two beverage stations and photographed the event.
A Putting Contest was held before tee-off with a TaylorMade putter going to the winner, Mark Roper of Eagle Alliance.
After 18 holes of play, everyone gathered together for a country buffet lunch and award ceremony. Dave Tetreault of Eagle Alliance presented a $30,000 check to NCMF President, Mr. Dick Schaefer. The total tournament donation amount came closer to $38,000 once everything was tallied. The team from Superior Communications Inc. took first place.
A special Crypto Cup Awards and Volunteer Appreciation luncheon was held at the National Cryptologic Museum in July 2014.

Tournament Winners:
First place: Ron Hurley, Danny Pflieger, Ryan Diehl and Marc Crumpler of Superior Communications, Inc. (SCI) with an amazing score of 55 (16 under par).
Second place: Kevin Powderly, Andy Powderly, Mike Myers, and Rich Persinger (not present for photo). The team represented CyberCore Technologies
Third place: Pat Furey, Hunter Lochte, Tim Wickiser, and Mark Guthrie (not present for photo). The team represented Lexmark.

The event was such a success thanks to the ALL of the sponsors (see below), players, and dedicated volunteers. Special thanks is due to Eagle Alliance Event Coordinator, Stephanie Agostinelli for her tireless efforts in recruiting sponsors and canvassing local merchants for donations. Many golfers expressed their appreciation for her skill in making the tournament a success.

Background
In June 2002 Eagle Alliance sponsored its first golf tournament to benefit the Foundation (then the NCMF). The annual tournament was dedicated to the memory of Tim Sheahan, Eagle Alliance's first Account Executive and a key contributor to the award and success of the GROUNDBREAKER Program. Without the annual contribution from this tournament, there are years when the Foundation would have found it challenging to meet its obligations regarding support to the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM).
Starting in 2025, the tournament is hosted by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT).
