22nd Annual "Tim Sheahan Memorial" Eagle Alliance-Hosted Golf Tournament

October 19, 2023
The 22nd Annual Eagle Alliance-hosted "Tim Sheahan Memorial" Crypto Cup Golf Tournament was held on 19 October 2023 at Waverly Woods Golf Course in Mariottsville, MD. Congratulations to SCI - Superior Communications for taking 1st Place! The tournament raised approximately $30,000 for the NCF and included favorite features from past tournaments, as well as exciting new activities - such as the Hot Shot Golf Ball Cannon. Many thanks to Eagle Alliance, our generous sponsors, volunteers, golfers, and all who supported this fantastic event!

The 22nd Annual Eagle Alliance hosted Crypto Cup Golf Tournament benefiting the NCF took place at Waverly Woods Golf Course in Mariottsville, MD on 19 October 2023. The NCF is deeply grateful for the Eagle Alliance’s continued dedication to hosting this annual fundraiser which has now raised over $800,000 for the Foundation since its inception. The total raised from this year’s tournament was approximately $30,000.

Our golfers were very fortunate to enjoy the best of fall weather on tournament day. From the Mega-Putt start to the end of the Awards/Lunch banquet – it was a beautiful October day. 134 golfers joined us for the 22nd Annual Crypto Cup. This year we again featured the fan-favorite Spy Hole, as well as the Beat the Pro Hole – with pro golfer Kristen Thomas. This year’s tournament also debuted new opportunities for our golfers with the Hot Shot Golf Cannon and a Hole-in-Two contest featuring pro golfer Mike Watson with a fabulous opportunity to win a trip to Pebble Beach!

Background

In June 2002 Eagle Alliance sponsored its first golf tournament to benefit the Foundation (then the NCMF). The annual tournament was dedicated to the memory of Tim Sheahan, Eagle Alliance’s first Account Executive and a key contributor to the award and success of the GROUNDBREAKER Program. Without the annual contribution from this tournament, there are years when the Foundation would have found it challenging to meet its obligations regarding support to the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM).

Starting in 2025, the tournament is hosted by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT).
