Joseph [Joe] Kovba is the Senior Director of Technology Transition, PQC Strategy Lead, and a Technical Fellow at Leidos. Joe oversees strategic technology investments and R&D execution across a broad range of technical areas including post-quantum cryptography. He has also served as the Learning & Development Technical Lead where he created technical upskilling programs in Quantum Technologies and PQC.
Joe earned a BSE in Computer Science at Princeton University, an MS in Information Security at Boston University, and an MS in Cyber Security at Johns Hopkins. Outside of Leidos he is a lecturer at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering where he teaches Quantum Computation and Introduction to Python, and is an NCAA college football official.
