Cryptologic Conferences & Programs

  • The celebration prevailed over the area's soggy weather. There were plenty of activities and events held indoors, to include The Ambassadors Jazztet of the U.S. Army Field Band.   • The weather was perfect for the 2017 celebration and ideal for all the outdoor activities, such as the US Navy Silent Rifle Drill Team. The police dog demonstrations were once again a crowd favorite - as were the vintage WWII vehicles. This year featured a local group Hogs and Heroes Foundation with their motorcycles on display.   • The NCMF and University of Maryland University College (UMUC) were pleased to serve as the 2016 co-sponsors of CyberMaryland’s Cyber Education Forum. The NCMF was also an exhibitor at the event and appreciated the opportunity to share information with attendees about the New Museum Project - Cyber Center for Education and Innovation and Home of National Cryptologic Museum.   • The 3rd Biennial Charlotte International Crypto Symposium took place March 24, 25, 26 - 2016 in Charlotte, NC. As always, it was quite a gathering with exceptional displays and presentations.   • An important part of the NCMF mission is to "Educate" and thus, we enjoy participating in local events such as the 2015 Howard County STEMulating Minds Math Festival. This year the students enjoyed working on the Enigma Puzzle that was featured as a "Second Glance" puzzle in Washington Post Magazine. There were also students dressed as characters - such as famous women in science.

  • Once again, the NCMF had the fortunate opportunity to have a booth at the DRS Signals-Solutions SIGINT Tech Expo in Baltimore. The booth featured an Enigma, Kryha, and M-209 cipher device. The NCMF was also very grateful to receive a $2,500 check donation from DRS Signals-Solutions to the NCMF's Building Fund. DRS Signals Solutions will have a table in the lobby during the upcoming NCMF General Meeting & Symposium on 21 October, so be sure to visit them. Click the logo or event title to learn more.

  • On 25-26 August 2015 in Virginia, the CIRA (Central Intelligence Retirees Association) and the AFIO (Association of Former Intelligence Officers) held a joint conference and celebration of their 40th anniversaries. Intelligence specialists and several panels gathered to discuss recent changes to address lessons learned. The NCMF was honored to have a busy table at this exciting event.   • The NCMF was fortunate to have a booth at the AFIO's 2015 Spring Luncheon on 8 May in Tyson's Corner, VA. The theme of the program was Hackers, Financial Safety, Bulk Data Collection, ISIS Recruitments, Snowden and more. Click on the logo or title to learn more and see photos from the event.

  • The NCMF was honored to participate in the 37th DRS SIGINT Tech Expo on 10 September 2014. The Foundation's display was well-received and provided the backdrop for many beneficial conversations.   • The inaugural Intelligence and National Security Summit (Summit) took place September 18-19, 2014 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, DC; and was co-hosted by AFCEA International (AFCEA) and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).
