Topics and Subtopics include:

“SCI-1: Introduction to Strategic Cybersecurity” with emphasis on an introduction to cybersecurity policy, common vulnerabilities in cyberspace, problems of identity and attribution, cybercrime, privacy and surveillance in cyberspace, and cyber terrorism and critical infrastructure vulnerability.

“SCI-2: Global Cyber Threat Landscape” with emphasis on the theory of cyber warfare, an introduction to the national security strategy of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, and introduction to the national cyber strategy of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, U.S. national cyber strategy, the organization of U.S., China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea’s cyberwarfare enterprises, and vulnerabilities associated with the Internet of Things.

And “SCI-3: Cyber Conflict: History and Theory of Cyberwar” with emphasis on cyberwarfare, the history of major cyber conflicts, problems with cyberattack attribution, national security and cyberspace, cyber weapons, and the history of U.S. Cyber Conflict.

Summary:

Three modules total. [Address module platform dependency]. Modules also include parallel online course work for lecture based implementation of the curriculum. Stand alone online implementation of curriculum is also feasible. Required readings are not provided with the curriculum and are listed below.1 An optional study-abroad one credit hour is available at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence in Tallinn, Estonia.
