Demetria “Dede” Keller, RN, BSN, M.Ed., serves as the Coordinator of Career and Technical Education for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Her career has spanned healthcare, education, and workforce development, including roles as a registered nurse, elementary school teacher, Academy of Health Professions instructor, and educational leader. These experiences have shaped her belief that students need opportunities to explore diverse pathways while developing the skills necessary to succeed in an evolving workforce.
In her current role, Dede leads initiatives that connect students to high-demand career pathways and meaningful career-connected learning experiences. She works with educators, higher education partners, industry leaders, and community organizations to expand opportunities that prepare students for college, careers, and lifelong learning. She is particularly interested in how cybersecurity serves as a cross-cutting field that impacts nearly every industry and how schools can help students understand the importance of digital responsibility, online safety, and protecting their digital footprint.
