JOHNS HOPKINS/APL KOSSIAKOFF CENTER

APL:  11100 Johns Hopkins Road, Laurel, MD 20723

APL is located on Johns Hopkins Road, approximately 1/2 mile west of U.S. Route 29. View these directions online at the JHU/APL Web site.

There are several visitor entrances.

Montpelier Road: Montpelier Research Park (APL satellite campus) (0.4 miles from Route 29)
Pond Road: Kossiakoff Center and East Campus (0.6 miles from Route 29)
APL Drive: Main Laboratory Entrance (0.8 miles from Route 29)
Building 26 (Collaborative Analysis Center Laurel): Right turn onto Sanner Road, then second right entrance
Building 23 (Space Integration Test Facility): Right turn onto Sanner Road, then fifth right entrance, followed by a right turn toward Building 23 (0.8 miles from Johns Hopkins Road)
Building 200 (11101 Johns Hopkins Road): Left turn off of Johns Hopkins Road, immediately after Pond Road on the right

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the Baltimore Area:

Take I-95 South toward Washington, DC.
Take MD Route 32 West (toward Columbia).
Go 2.5 miles and take U.S. Route 29 South (toward Washington, DC).
Go 1.5 miles and take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Road.
Exit onto Johns Hopkins Road.

From Washington, DC, and the Capital Beltway (I-495):

Take I-95 North toward Baltimore.
Go 8 miles and take MD Route 216 West (toward Scaggsville).
Go 0.3 miles and take U.S. Route 29 North (first exit off of traffic circle).
Go 1.2 miles and take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Road.
Exit onto Johns Hopkins Road (third exit off of traffic circle).

Alternate Washington, DC/Capital Beltway Route:

From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take U.S. Route 29 North (Colesville Road).
Go 10 miles and take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Road.
Exit onto Johns Hopkins Road (third exit off of traffic circle).

From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall (BWI) Airport:

Take I-195 West out of the terminal.
Go 4.5 miles and take exit 4 to I-95 South toward Washington, DC.
Go 10 miles and take MD Route 32 West (toward Columbia).
Go 2.5 miles and take U.S. Route 29 South (toward Washington, DC).
Go 1.5 miles and take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Road.
Exit onto Johns Hopkins Road.

From Reagan National Airport:

Take the George Washington Memorial Parkway North.
Go 16 miles and take the Capital Beltway (I-495) East or North toward Baltimore.
Go 15 miles and take I-95 North toward Baltimore.
Go 10 miles and take MD Route 32 West (toward Columbia).
Go 2.5 miles and take U.S. Route 29 South (toward Washington, DC).
Go 1.5 miles and take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Road.
Exit onto Johns Hopkins Road.

From Washington Dulles International Airport:

Take the Dulles Airport Access Road out of the airport.
Go 12 miles to exit 18 for the Capital Beltway (I-495) East or North toward Baltimore.
Go 18 miles and take I-95 North toward Baltimore.
Go 10 miles and take MD Route 32 West (toward Columbia).
Go 2.5 miles and take U.S. Route 29 South (toward Washington, DC).
Go 1.5 miles and take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Road.
Exit onto Johns Hopkins Road.

From I-70 East:

Take exit 80 and merge onto MD Route 32 East.
Go 8.6 miles and take exit 17 for Cedar Lane toward Sanner Road.
Keep right at the fork and merge onto Cedar Lane.
Cedar Lane turns slightly left and becomes Sanner Road.
Go 1.2 miles (to second stoplight) and turn left onto Johns Hopkins Road.

From the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center:

Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295) North about 10 miles.
Exit onto MD Route 32 West (toward Columbia).
Go 2.5 miles and take U.S. Route 29 South (toward Washington, DC).
Go 1.5 miles and take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Road.
Exit onto Johns Hopkins Road.
