  • Guided tours provided by very knowledgeable docents and museum staff are well worth it! Learn all the interesting details behind the cryptologic artifacts and other exhibits. Great for families, school groups, college study groups, scout troops, and individual visitors.

  • Each year the NCMF sponsors special awards at the Maryland History Day competition. The Milton Zaslow Award for Cryptology and the Major John E. Morrison Award in Excellence and Innovation recognize junior and senior level students with winning presentations in these areas.

  • With its interactive programs and exhibits, a field trip to the NCM is a fun and educational way to introduce students to the world of codes and ciphers.

  • Thanks to the Foundation's efforts, two game kioks, the Cipher Express and the Cryptogram, offer a fun and interactive way for kids of all ages to learn the basic concepts of cryptology.

  • Recognizing female pioneers and leaders in cryptology and related fields serves not only to commemorate their vital contributions, but also helps to stimulate the interests of young women today and encourage them to pursue careers in technology. Although March is Women's History Month, we honor and acknowledge these amazing women all year round!

  • Some of our most active online friends are the educators who regularly bring their students to the National Cryptologic Museum to learn more about cryptology and to experience the many interactive exhibits.
